BBNP - Northern Parula winters.

A refreshing morning was spent puttering through Rio Grande Village and somewhat-accurate numbers are below (this is a compilation of three lists). Of note, primarily, was a second-year male Northern Parula. He was first photographed by Brandon Percival as a mere first-year bird on Dec. 30, 2011 and refound and photographed by Steve Collins on Jan. 8, 2012 so it's a rather well documented individual! Between Dec. 30 and Jan. 31 the creature went from hatch-year's subtle beauty to looking boldly dapper.
